The Regional Alliance conducts several
events throughout the year for the purpose
of recognizing significant accomplishments
by our members or client organizations and
to provide networking opportunities for
members to meet key executives of prime
contractors and other firms to explore
business opportunities. Most events must be
reserved in advance to assist with planning.

calling the Regional Alliance at
212-268-2991. There is no charge for most
training programs, workshops and seminars.

Per LOCAL LAW
41
all construction workers
working on
private or public projects are
required to complete a 10-hour
course in construction safety
approved by the U.S. Department
of Labor Occupational Health and
Safety Administration (OSHA).
This plan requires that within
the
preceding five calendar years,
all workers should have
completed the 10 hour OSHA
training. This includes all
active trade workers as well as
managers, foremen, and project
superintendents working on the
project site.
The
10-hour program is intended to
provide a variety of
construction safety and health
training to construction
workers, foremen, job
supervisors, and anyone involved
in the construction industry.
Workers must receive additional
training, when required by OSHA
standards, on the specific
hazards of the job. Upon
successful completion of the
course,
participants will receive an
OSHA construction safety and
health 10-hour course completion
card from the U.S. Department of
Labor.

a Construction Management
Certificate program. This
innovative program sponsored by
The Port Authority of NY & NJ
will lead to a
certificate in Construction
Management and
qualifies for 22.5 hours of
continuing education (NYS
Approval #C-1420).
The objective of this program
is to present and discuss the
management of construction
pro-jects during their
accomplishment in the field. The
coursework is designed for
contractors, engineers,
designers and others in the
construction industry. The
course covers the fundamentals
of construction management which
includes construction cost and
estimating, blueprint reading,
project scheduling and contract
administration.

The intensive
Construction Cost Estimating
workshop will expose
participants to the resources
necessary to estimate the
construction costs of building
projects, using modern
technology and following the
methods employed by successful
general contractors. The
